YUKON HARVEST
PR & Marketing Consultants
Pender PR partnered with the team at Rogue River Films Inc. during the release of their 13 episode documentary series, Yukon Harvest. The series chronicles the adventures of Indigenous hunters and guides as they navigate the wilds of the Yukon and beyond. Some are seasoned veterans; others are young newcomers who must reconnect with their roots and learn how to respectfully harvest an animal for the community.
The series was also released under the title Dän K’eht’e in Northern Tutchone, a language spoken in the Yukon communities of Mayo, Pelly Crossing, Stewart Crossing, Carmacks, and Beaver Creek. It was important to the team to create a lasting record of the language that is only spoken fluently by a limited number of people.
We were brought onto the team to connect the creators with their target audience and promote the series’ launch. As the series was filmed in popular areas around Canada such as Vancouver Island, Kamloops, Whitehorse, and Saskatchewan, we were focused on reaching out to the local press within those areas.
